Inconsequential, but….

How is it that the American friends I’ve spoken to recently have nae fucking idea what “sussed” means? I could swear I’ve heard it in American shows! Or maybe I remember wrong….

    Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary notes that is usage is “chiefly British”.
    But yes, I do know what the term means, but I haven’t often heard it on this side of the pond.

    Not American but the first I heard of the word and that was a loooooooooong time ago.
