strange… I use it pretty regularly…
Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary notes that is usage is “chiefly British”.
But yes, I do know what the term means, but I haven’t often heard it on this side of the pond.

Not American but the first I heard of the word and that was a loooooooooong time ago.
Yeah, that’s where I first heard it, too. In fact, aside from this post, that’t the only reference I can remember.
