    You are very intelligent.

I don’t really feel the need to comment to you anonymously as I think we’re cool enough with each other that I could tell you whatever while fully disclosing who I am.
You are very handsome, though. You didn’t know that.

I met you through my poetry, now I do not write poetry anymore. Do you know who I am, and do you think you have changed much in the couple of years since you signed on to my live journal?

I thought I knew who you were till you said “couple of years” so now I’m rethinking…. ~_^
I think there’s been some change in me; it can even be seen in my writing. I was writing relatively emotionalistic entries at the start, which gained more in the way of rationality and precision as time went on. this is the case with how I communicate offline too (though I still have to grapple with the awkward old ways there!).

If you died tonight, would you die happy?

Singlemindedness makes it hard to talk to people?
Unless I’m totally aggressive, in a conversation of any length, they will ask about my interests. I only have one interest at a time, and answering definitively with just one thing is apparently a cause of bafflement. Since it’s tho only useful alternative I should get better at asking questions that are both embarrassing and useful.
Wait, i take back the initial statement/question. Singlemindedness definitely makes it easier to talk to people.

Certainly! Cuts out all the nonsense and turns the convo into a useful tool. also you sift out those who do and don’t converge with your interest, instead of wasting time with those who wish to push unappealing interests onto you or waste your time.
I suppose you can say it’s about arrogating an audience conducive to your tastes…..

these types of entries are for the unworld! anyone who can’t say something with their name shouldn’t say it at all.

In any other context, I’d totally agree with you; I can’t stand chickenshit anonymous posters and the like; people like that are usually of malicious character and wish to give vent to such without taking responsibility for that. The Net offers one many avenues to be an asshole with a nice topping of cowardice thrown on top.
However, in this context (that is, between friends) I treat this as merely a fun guessing game, noting the style/details given in the post and making deductions as to the identity of the poster.

      N/A
simply writing enough counters the un-identity.
And it is interesting in that it hides the identity of the poster from random people but not from the journal author (again, given enough text to ID them from style and sufficient familiarity.)
Sort of like a friends-only entry but for comments.
