Halal & Hypocrisy VII: Corroded Justice

Justice consists in the recognition of equality and the rendering of equity.

–Victor S. Yarros

image25

I had to roll my eyes at this one.

A gang of Muslim girls who repeatedly kicked a young woman in the head walked free from court after a judge heard they were ‘not used to being drunk’ because of their religion.

The group screamed ‘kill the white slag’ while kicks raining in on 22-year-old Rhea Page as she lay motionless on the ground, the court heard.

The attackers – three sisters and their cousin – were told by a judge that normally they would have been sent to jail.

However, he handed the girls – all Somalian Muslims – suspended sentences after hearing that they were not used to alcohol because their religion does not allow it.

–Daily Mail Online, 6th December 2011

On the same day that the State locked up racist tram mum Emma West “for her own protection”, I read about this case of violent racism being met with a judicial wrist-slap.

Not very good PR for the Brit justice system, is it? Some racist, white, gobby bird gets locked away for being…well…a racist, white, gobby bird; and a violent flock of racist, black, Muzzie birds avoid a similar fate on account  of being…black Muzzie birds.

Ah well—at least our justice system can’t be accused of “white privilege”, right?

Scoffing aside, this whole case reads like some fucked-up parody of PC lunacy, what with the assailants ticking not one but three of the limousine Left’s pet demographic boxes. Makes me wonder what would happen were these ladies also lezzers: would Page be forced to pay them minge-munching damages?

lezzer-nosh

As it stands, things are tragicomic enough. The Islam defence alone has to be one of the most pathetic excuses/rationalizations/Get Out of Jail Free cards I’ve ever cast eyes on, more worthy of an absurdist Family Guy sketch than a flesh ‘n’ oak court case (at least one not involving clinical retards). Judging from their pics, their decidedly haraam habits, and their triumphalist Tweeting (“Happy happy happy!”, “I’m so going out”), those Muslim madams hardly qualify as visions of veiled virtue.

image6 image7 image8 image9

My guess is that, like other Friday Muslims of my acquaintance, they treat their faith more like a team flag, or Good Guy Badge, than as a serious guide to life and living.

Shame their legal Lancelot, Gary Short, couldn’t grasp this: “Them Muzzies suuure do act alike, your Honour!”

Devout Muslims or not, since when does Lady Justice remove her blindfold for the pleasure of the pious? Since when did the British court system model itself on that of Saudi fucking Arabia? By such sterling logic, “honour killers” should be let loose with a caution on account of them being unaccustomed to female autonomy; and clueless Christians who exorcize the life from their kids should be excused for not being used to reality.

Let’s not forget the place of race in this little debacle. It’s rather telling that these belligerent bints didn’t at least get gavelled for their verbal spats of racial thoughtcrime, a la Emma West. Not that I favour either party being Orwelled over their tonguefarts, but aren’t both blacks and whites meant to be equals under the law? Did I miss something?

Also, what the fuck’s up with the damsel-deference?

Judge Brown said that ‘those who knock someone to the floor and kick them in the head can expect to go inside’.

But he said he accepted the women may have felt they were the victims of unreasonable force from Mr Moore as he tried to defend his girlfriend, and handed the defendants a suspended sentence.

Boo-hoo! Those frail, fragile females! Did they chip their nails on his coarse male physique?

image18

Seriously, I find this double standard bullshit pretty fucking disgusting. Bloke hits bird first? He’s a fucking monster of a man. Bird hits bloke first? That’ll teach him to leave the toilet seat up! Bird strikes bloke in self-defence? “You go, girl!” Bloke strikes bird in a similar context? “Herp-derp—turn in your man card, you misogynistic, micro-dicked faggot!” With proposed initiatives like ‘Clare’s Law’ being offered up for consideration, expect this cancer to keep on growing.

When I think of white knight twerps like Judge Brown, a line from Urotsukidōji springs to mind: “One little sniff of pussy, and [they] lose it.”

So, yes, according to The Powers that Be: if you’re Muslim, black, and female, you’re inherently less culpable, less responsible for your actions, than someone lacking one, two, or all of those traits. I can imagine the legislators of the land, sat in their plush tax-cushioned offices, shaking their heads and saying: “They can’t help it: they suffer so much in racist, sexist Kafirland, the poor babies!”

What they miss is that such thinking plays into the hands of the Nick Griffins and Tommy Robinsons they claim to combat, crafting many a Trojan Horse for them to ride ragged.

If we must live under the storm cloud of the State, I’d like a silver lining of fucking isonomy…

Akira: The London Connection

vlcsnap-2012-05-19-21h09m13s132

Scanning the reviews on Amazon can be good for a laugh, now and again:

Dishonest politicians, a city preparing for an imminent Olympics, street gangs, terrorist attacks… This could be a fable of our times, but this isn’t London 2011, this is a future Tokyo rebuilt 30 years after a Third World War, yet already descending into decadent and aimless disorder.

–The Kinniburgh Kid

He missed out the rampant rioting, but, yeah, as parallels go, pretty perceptive.

It’s a shame we don’t have an orbital satellite laser to strengthen the analogy; that, and youths (or , rather, “yutes”) with psychic powers. Actually, the absence of the latter in  London’s probably a good thing! Imagine how much more fucked-up things would’ve been back in August.

vlcsnap-2012-05-19-21h03m54s15

Still, if Tetsuo were to re-emerge from his new universe to raze the Olympic stadium, it’d certainly justify the coverage (and the entrance fee)!

Bitch-Hunt! West vs the Rest

image

Watching Emma West’s racist tram rant reminded me of one reason I despise PC and “Public Order” legislation: it confers martyr status onto rancid cunts like her.

Predictably, the usual suspects from the Anglo-racialist milieu stepped up to claim her as their prize, their voice of the voiceless, their own little Boudicca reincarnate, beating back the filthy foreigners with nowt but the sharpness of her tongue.

That said, many of the folks decrying her proved, at best, considerably worse, what with them cheering on her arrest, calling for her to be sterilized, and insisting that her kid be taken away from her. If conservative talking heads exemplified submission masked as strength during the London riots, the so-called “liberal” contingent exemplify it in regard to Westgate. It’s been especially amusing/grating to watch them break out in “think of the children” hives over the (imagined) effect her words had on her (blissfully apathetic) kid. Let’s not forget their inverted embrace of a similarly Manichean worldview to West’s, either (emphasis mine):

Forgive me for shattering your illusions, Emma, but “your Britain” doesn’t exist. It hasn’t existed for a long time, and her current survival is to be credited entirely to immigrants. All those jobs that you pass up because they’re ‘beneath’ you? They go to immigrants. The jobs to which you may aspire – though aspiration may be beyond you – will never be yours, because you’re simply too uneducated and ignorant to work in them. So you see people who aren’t the same colour as you making their way in life, while you sway drunkenly on a tram and berate them in the vilest of terms.

–Rae (aka Diva Nerd)

Come to think of it, didn’t the black woman who stood up to West spout similar rhetoric? Why didn’t the Thought Police kidnap her for re-education, hmm?

As much as I hate to say it, the PC plods have given the bigot brigade a toe to tread on with this one….

“Sieg Hallow!” or “Unhappy Halloween!”?

A browse through my Facebook groups brought a post from Sociological Images to my attention; the following pic was the talking point (before it was removed)…

naziween-obscured2

Predictably, condemnation saturated the tone of Lisa Wade’s post, which castigated the troublesome trio for their sartorial sins; particular attention got paid to the bird in the middle, dolled up as “Anne Skank”, for apparently “sexualiz[ing] and laugh[ing] at [the] 15-year-old victim of the holocaust” her moniker rhymes with.

My masochist streak urged me to trawl through the trough of the comments section, where Wade’s outrage was matched and exceeded by a blitzkrieg of bleaters moaning about such things as the “misogyny” of “skank”, and the “race privilege” of the happy Halloweeners (never mind the bloke in the pic belonging to one of the pet groups of the folk who coin such terms). Any voices of dissent criticizing the Holocaust exceptionalism got drowned in a deluge of PC patois.

It seems, in their righteous indignation, the offenditarians missed something which had hit me in the face within seconds of viewing the pic: this is the perfect get-up for Halloween!

As I scribed in the comments section:

Seeing that Nazis are the boogeymen of the Western world, and Anne Frank haunts the cultural conscience, aren’t Skank and her Anne Flankers getting into the spirit of Halloween by dressing up in such garms?

Five minutes later, Wade closed the comment thread.

[EDIT (1/11/11): It seems Miss Wade had a change of mind and re-opened her comments section.]

Wade’s not the only one scorning the spirit of the season, though; elsewhere, one Sarah Williams, president of the STARS organisation, kickstarted a campaign calling out costumes that “reinforces stereotypes”(sic).

image1

And again, as well as thinking my Nazi theory applies just as well to Islamist suicide bombers, I’m not seeing what all the uproar is about. Clearly, the folk in the pic don’t resemble the cultural stereotypes they take umbrage with—I know I’m not bothered by some ghetto-wannabe bint in blackface—so why give such a fuck? Who, for example, actually thinks all Oriental birds are geisha (and if they wanted potentially offensive stereotypes to work with, wouldn’t the prozzie from Full Metal Jacket be a better fit)?

That said, their campaign sparked off some hilarious responses from various parties on the net, so kudos for that, if nothing else.

sir_nose_01

I wonder, if someone were to dress up as a fucking leprechaun, would STARS be up in arms against “cultural stereotyping” against Irish folk? Not according to their treasurer, Stephanie Sheeley, who, in an interview with ColorLines, invoked the lame “racism is prejudice plus power” meme to rationalize the differences in reaction.

I suspect for the STARSfolk, and others insisting we live in societies of white supremacy, every day is Halloween…

Race and Ego, by Sidney E. Parker

image1

Yup, it’s another repaste from the Non Serviam vault.  Sid Parker makes a decent delineation between racial realism (descriptive) and racialism (prescriptive), pitting egoism (successfully, in my view) against the latter.

~MRDA~

Race and Ego

by Sidney E. Parker

In his recent work The Utopia of Instincts Dr Richard Swartzbaugh considers race to be a development of egoism. He considers that the idea of race is not properly a question of the classification of biological, psychological and cultural differences, but is a recent phenomenon. It is, he contends, a reaction to the “impersonality” generated by the growth of technics in industrial societies. Since the white race is the most technologically developed of all the races it is among its members that true racial awareness has first arisen. The origin of “racism” is to be found in egoism. He writes:

Self-effacement is the fundamental contradiction in human life and the one which, extended from technics and narrowly technical social relations to social relations in general, becomes morality. The original technological impulse develops directly into the moral impulse, which is the terminal phase of human self-alienation.

The history of the human species is not complete, however, without the consideration that there develops, slowly at first but then with ascending intensity, a resistance to this self-effacement, which is here called egoism.

The ego is not limited to the individual but can possess whole groups, from the tiny family, the primary ego group, to the tribe and finally the race.

Swartzbaugh’s concept of race is a Hegelian one and seems oddly at variance with his profession of anthropologist. He states, for example, that “race is a step…in the movement of nature towards defined form” and it is “more than an alliance, it is a phase in the movement of nature towards self-consciousness or perfectly focussed egoism.”

This is metaphysical mumbo-jumbo. To attribute to “nature”, which is merely an abstract noun, the potentialities of “self-consciousness” is nothing more than an invocation of the “ghost of God” dressed up in a new shroud. There is not one scrap of evidence that can be produced in its favour, nor does Swartzbaugh attempt to offer any. Consciousness is a characteristic of only certain animal species and in its conceptual form, as a formulated awareness of the distinction between me and not-me, is confined to human beings.

Swartzbaugh maintains that it is “a common mistake by philosophers…to equate the ego with the solitary person …This is far from the truth. Where the ego must pass from one human lifespan to the succeeding one, it necessarily creates in the process the primary ego group, the parental or nuclear family…but more than this, where provoked…the ego may break out of the confines of the original family to form a greater ego group..the race.”

Swartzbaugh does not show how this mysterious migration of my particular ego from one lifespan to another takes place. However, long before modern research established the biochemical uniqueness of individuals, Dr James L. Walker effectively disposed of the belief that one can transmit one’s ego to one’s offspring. In The Philosophy of Egoism he writes:

Men flatter themselves that they can perpetuate themselves and not merely the race; a simple error, for if we allow half the effect to each parent the result is that A’s offspring is half A; his grandchild is one-fourth A; his great grandchild is one-eighth A; the next generation is one_sixteenth A, and thus (ultimately) his descendants will have nothing more in common with him than any of the individuals of his race.

And this is to consider the question only at the biological level! The mind boggles when considering how the “Stirnerian ego” (Swartzbaugh claims to have been heavily influenced by Stirner), the “who” of me, can be “passed into the “who” of another, for that which is uniquely mine cannot be transferred to anyone else. When I die I die.

I do not deny that racial differences exist, nor that being of the Caucasian race is one of my qualities. These are facts which have to be taken into account if I want to see things clearly. The cult of ethno-masochism whose adherents ask for punishment because of the colour of their skins, or because of misdeeds allegedly committed in the past by others of the same racial stock, is not my scene. Race as a neo-Hegelian and purposive category, however, is a different matter. I no more accept its existence than I do race elevated into some kind of mystical soul, or race as a source of pseudo-identity for those who seek to gain a power that is not their own. Having rid myself of the delusion of equality I am not about to take on other delusions in its place.

The Clockwork Orange Dilemma! Riots, Reflections, and Ramifications…

When folk get angry, why do they always piss on their own doorstep? Westminster is only a bus ride away.

–Tunnocks, Guardian Reader

But this I counsel you, my friends: Mistrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful…And when they  call themselves the good and the just, do not forget that they would be pharisees, if only they had—power.

 –Friedrich Nietzsche

image

It took only two bullets to rupture the relative calm of a whole country…

…and, more than three weeks later, the wound remains sore and exposed.

However I won’t delve too deeply into the circumstances surrounding Mark Duggan’s fatal shooting by the Boys in Blue; nor those of the ensuing protest, two days later. Much remains to be clarified over those two occurrences: did Duggan unwittingly commit “suicide-by-cop”, or receive a summary execution ala Jean Charles de Menezes?  Did the police go on to batter a peaceful protestor, or a pugilist?  The little that has come to light hardly sheds any in return.

Still, I will spout off a few paragraphs concerning the now-infamous riots that springboarded off of those events…

Even with my anti-state sympathies, I don’t buy Darcus Howe’s romantic rationale of the riots as some sort of “insurrection” against state oppression; in fact, were I in the boots of a Syrian insurrectionist, I’d be pretty fucking pissed-off to be compared to such pointlessly destructive herd-animals. Perhaps if the rioters focused their fury on the swine of the state, he, and the others who’ve expressed similar sentiments, might have a leg to stand on; as it rests, the only liberation that took place involved either TVs  ‘n’ trainers from retail parks, or PSPs from student backpacks. Similarly, beyond a single Brummie police station,  the only establishments I recall going up in smoke belonged to those living and working amidst (most of) the rioters.

Pauline Pearce, the “Hackney heroine”, saw what many handholding bleeding-hearts failed to: predation, not principle, powered the riots.

Thus, as someone of a similar socioeconomic strata to the bulk of rioters, I resent the implication that those herd-minded fucks smash, steal and slay in my name.

image1

With all that said, it must mean the police(wo)man is my friend, right?

 Like fuck it does!

Even if Plod-worship were my thing, I’d find my faith sorely tested by their (lack of ) reaction to the blatant “dutty teef” behaviour unfolding before their eyes; the sight of swine standing inches away from the criminals they’re contracted to capture still stands as one of the more memorable visuals from last week’s excitement. It fell to various local community squads, of assorted ancestries, to protect themselves from plunder, and, barring the Muslims mowed-down in Birmingham, they made a decent fist of keeping the cunts at bay. Had these vigorous vigilantes packed the (fire)power of their Korean cousins in the L.A. Riots, perhaps the rout would’ve been routed a lot sooner.

As it stands, their making-do with clubs and scythes proved enough to provoke a squeal from the state’s sows, with the Met.’s Steve Kavanagh decrying the self-defence squads for having the audacity to protect what’s theirs. The message sounds loud ‘n’ clear: threaten the state’s monopoly on violence and “the police [will have to] go and do the vigilantes as well as the other problems they’ve got”.

I must admit, I find the concept of “anarcho-tyranny”,  coined by paleocon scribe Sam Francis, describes this state of affairs perfectly; the unspoken police policy of laissez-faire toward the rioters, and zero-tolerance toward the riot-intolerant, strikes me as a sterling example of a system that “criminalize[s] the innocent and ignore[s] real criminals”. If they caught, say, some bloke defending his home from arson with a show of force, it wouldn’t surprise me if they treated him to a Rodney King-style baton party (with the would-be firestarter filming it on his cameraphone).

image2

Speaking of paleocon concerns, I’ve read and seen quite a bit of commentary touching on the place of race in this firestorm. If it wasn’t  multiculturalists and racial nationalists playing Manichean games with their favoured ‘n’ disfavoured groups, it was historians offering up sloppily-worded critiques reeking of essentialism. On top of that were played-out Planet of the Apes jibes, Leftist smears on white self-defence squads, reporters PC-policing eyewitnesses, and the odd “Enoch was right” comment calling for the deportation of (British-born) black rioters. Yet, for all the race-baiting and theorizing, I noticed a distinct lack of on-the-ground representation from the race-nationalist contingent. In the advent of civil unrest, why didn’t the BNP step up to defend the land they (claim to) love?

Were I an Anglo-racialist, I’d be very, very wary of their sincerity; unfortunately for Griffin and co, it seems some in the milieu picked up on their poor show…

“We need a strong BNP” I hear some naive folks say… really? The party’s only response this week was to send out a begging text ‘LONDON BURNING  …DONATE £3, DONATE, DONATE,  DONATE!’

While British citizens fleeing from burning buildings and our major cities are engulfed in lawlessness the so-called big boys of nationalism can only offer our beleaguered people the opportunity to donate £3 to their leaky coffers !

What an utter disgrace and shameful stunt that should now convince even the most loyal of what the real motivation of the party leaders is these days.

—James Dowson

image3

As the dust settled, pundits and politicos searched for more scapegoats to slaughter. A variety of voices volunteered their reasons for the riots, which included, amongst others: consumerism; the erosion of benefits; the availability of benefits; hooded clothing; single-parent families; a lack of belief in the Biblical bogeyman; and the reality of moral relativism. We even had Noel Gallagher, and Jo fucking Frost—the sodding Supernanny—blaming it on that well-worn bugbear of busybody breeders: video games!

tumblr_ll6zbik7lu1qei4vko1_500

However, Parasite-in-Power, David Cameron, outdid Frost in the laughability stakes; fresh from frolicking in Tuscany on taxpayer money, whilst London burned, he overcompensated with this pharisaic pearl…

It is a complete lack of responsibility in parts of our society, people allowed to feel the world owes them something, that their rights outweigh their responsibilities and their actions do not have consequences.

I wonder: was he on about “parts of society” in Wood Green, or Westminster?

DAVID CAMERON faced an internal inquiry yesterday into claims he “maxed out” his second home expenses.

The Tory leader took out a £350,000 taxpayer-funded mortgage and then paid off a £75,000 loan soon afterwards.

The financial juggling may have cost taxpayers as much as £22,000.

–Jason Beattie, The Daily Record. June 1st 2009

Is that a mote I see in your eye, Davey-boy?

In any case, Cameron claimed to have just the antidote to remedy the moral malady he diagnosed: more swine on the streets; fussing in familial affairs; stupid sentencing; and Mubarak–style clampdowns on communication (which thankfully got taken offline, a few days back). It all amounts to a concoction that too many of the electorate seem eager to gulp down, going by their endorsements of measures that jail folk for posting dumb shit on Facebook, and punish parents for the sins of their spawn.

This whole situation strikes me as a sterling example of what I call the Clockwork Orange dilemma: much like Alex, that story’s protagonist, the citizenry finds itself presented with a “choice” between the “cancer” of crime and the “cure” of constraint—the id and the superego, in Freudspiel.

image4

Also, as in said story, the opposed sides differ only on a superficial level. I struggle to see the difference between some chancer stealing shirts from Next, and state stooges stealing someone’s liberty for organising a waterfight via Blackberry. Similarly, the herd instinct seems to tie together the rioters and the law-abiding folk who bay for their blood. Unrecognized by most, such underlying binds work to keep the ostensible antagonists locked in a game of mutual reinforcement; indeed, one could argue these rioters ultimately turned out to be the best friends Cameron and his cronies ever had. Own goal!

That said, I do note one difference between the law-fearing and the looters: the latter at least make use of their own claws. As Guardian-reader Mark Kearney points out…

The irony is that though right wingers constantly talk about personal responsibility, right wing ideology truly revolves around the worship of and hence deference of responsibility to some ‘authority figure’ who will save the believer and other followers from their plight, lead their country to glory, etc. Right wingers truly desire a show of power to conceal their own personal sense of powerlessness.

…hence the cries for army intervention, for more police on the streets, for supercops and supercourts to exercise “zero-tolerance” in the name of sacred “security”…

In short, submission masquerading as “strength”.

Real fucking horrorshow, no?

Facebooker Steve Arnott on the UK Riots

Just a little side note, have you noted that we have the SAME politicians who were mere months ago called up for stealing THOUSANDS and in some cases TENS OF THOUSANDS of taxpayer money.. and they are standing there condemning the current thieves on our TV’s in the riots. Am I the only one who smells the sickening irony??
Just because they didn’t kick a shop window in or petrol bomb someone’s house, doesn’t make them any less of a criminal. There’s a guy going up in front of crown court for stealing ONE BOTTLE OF WINE. By those standards half our house of commons should be in Guantanamo bay for the duration of this decade!

Transtopia lays the smack down on PC…

OUROHAZARD1MEDIUM

From an earlier version of the Transtopia website:

If you support PC you’re either a hypocrite, a coward, or a fool; honest, brave, and rational people can never, by definition, tolerate -let alone actively support- PC for pretty much the same reasons why they ‘must’ reject religion. Both rot the mind, destroy freedom, and mess up society. In fact, one could say that PC is the socialist/liberal crowd’s religion-subsitute; they think they’re so smart, progressive, and sophisticated compared to their (equally repulsive) bible-thumping conservative rivals, but all they’ve done is swap one insane, (self-)destructive dogma for another. Both ideologies are based on the same poisonous mix of smug self-righteousness, guilt, fear, wishful thinking, ignorance, and sanctimoniousness. Think about it…

Nothing to argue against there, though I’d personally include old-school social conservatism, and the “Right-wing” appropriation of Leftist identity politics (in the form of movements such as white nationalism), amongst the mindkillers.

The BBFC: It Still Bugs Me

How can it be that adults are not allowed to choose whether or not to see a film? It really felt like Britain was behaving like China. This kind of censorship is ridiculous.”

–Tom Six

In the last exciting episode, I made mention of the BBFC’s de facto ban of The Human Centipede II. Turns out that the cunts refused it a certificate on the grounds that it poses “a real, as opposed to fanciful risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers.”

image11

They haven’t given me such a laugh since 1996, when they banned the first part of hentai anime Urotsukidōji IV, fearing it could be used by nonces to snare kids—might as well’ve bannned sweeties and puppies!

In true media Mengele fashion, the British Board of Film Classification has been branding, mutilating, and, in some cases, sectioning off British video media since their inception in 1912. Many a moral panic has seen the board step up as its willing and unquestioning foot soldier: from the furore over Rebel Without A Cause potentially triggering Fifties “teen rebellion”; to the “video nasties” spazz-out in the Eighties; to the  manhunt over…Manhunt, four years back.

Where there’s a Whitehouse, there’s a way—namely, them.

In the Case of the Second Centipede, the two are one—in more than a singular sense. It seems the sequel proved too much for the tender ‘testines chez censorship. As BBFC chief David Cooke stated:

It is the Board’s carefully considered view that to issue a certificate to this work, even if confined to adults, would be inconsistent with the Board’s Guidelines, would risk potential harm within the terms of the VRA, and would be unacceptable to the public.

The Board also seeks to avoid classifying material that may be in breach of the Obscene Publications Acts 1959 and 1964 (OPA) or any other relevant legislation. The OPA prohibits the publication of works that have a tendency to deprave or corrupt a significant proportion of those likely to see them.

And the contentious content in question? According to The Guardian…

In the sequel, a man becomes erotically obsessed with a DVD copy of the original film – in which the victims are surgically stitched together mouth to anus – and decides to recreate the idea.

The film then focuses on his fantasies and the torture he inflicts. One scene involves him wrapping barbed wire around his penis and raping the woman at the end of the centipede, having become aroused by the sight of his victims being forced to defecate into each others’ mouths.

Sounds like something you’d find on Martin Ssempa’s hard drive!

the-human-centipede_20110623-16320140

I watched the supposedly disturbing first installment last week and found it, above all, fucking hilarious. I blame it on the villain protagonist at the heart of the nefarious goings-on: a cross between Josef “Angel of Death” Mengele, a hammy Eighties cartoon villain (take your pick), and said villain’s bumbling henchmen.

247093_10150637310025367_721650366_19173109_4670706_n1

Much like the BBFC, he slices up things that worked perfectly fine unhampered, stitching them up into a compromised, grotesque mess for his own satisfaction—all whilst expecting his unlucky recipients to chow down and think of England.

the-human-centipede_20110623-16324203

Lately, I grow more and more wary of folk who talk about “depravity”, “corruption” and “obscenity”, especially when they fail to qualify what the fuck they mean by those words. Then again, I suspect that such value-laden vagueness is intentional; these hazy Obscenity Acts allow authoritards who “know it when [they] see it” to Trojan in their tastes as public policy. Such is the consequence of giving trigger-laden, “feel my pain” neurotics posts of power.

Speaking of trigger-laden, just what did the Board base the “tendency to deprave or corrupt” on? Did the sight of birds being boned by barbed wire bring up something other than their lunch? I mean, as entertaining as it was, I hardly wanted to stitch folk together, arse-to-mouth, after watching the first film. Similarly, watching A Serbian Film—another BBFC butcher job—uncut aroused no urge in me to fuck newborn babies, animatronic or otherwise.

a-serbian-film_-2010-brrip_-720p-x264-engsub-yify_20110615-231408723

(Also, how many blokes really wanna fuck anything wearing a barbed wire condom? Granted, there was that one masochist who nailed his knob to a table, but…)

So, if I can sit through these flicks without “harm”, without being “deprave[d] or corrupt[ed]”, what’s going on with that lot?

Then again, judging by some of the reader responses on various sites, the Board have friends in lame places; if it’s not femiternalists who fancy themselves as the next Mary Whitehouse, it’s moral paternalists worried about keeping society censored for the “human dignity”of “decent healthy human beings”. Synapses spooked by sanctimony.

Anyone who’s seriously freaked out by the mere existence and availability of fiction, particularly stuff they can opt to avoid, might benefit from addressing their projected personal issues. I often hear the  phrase “get over it” used on those who take umbrage to being insulted, but I can, at least, understand the umbrage there; I think that phrase much more appropriate for infantilized moral-guardian wannabes who go out of their way to get their feelings hurt.

As for those who endorse bans on account of the “mentally unhealthy”, the overly-impressionable, the “low IQ and impulsive” and, of course, “the children”, well, what do that lot aspire to but a de facto idiocracy?

Still, even if most Britons really, really wanna just be slaves, there are  ways and means to circumvent the tide; to quote YouTuber ryanbinrichard,

The BBFC ain’t got shit on what I watch cause I get all my movies from torrents. I can’t wait until the Americans come out with torrents for the Human Centipede 2. Getting the first torrent I find.

Flags at full mast, me hearties!
